A “Fergana – Gomel” Business Forum Was Held in Fergana

The event was organized to strengthen mutually beneficial ties between the business communities of the two regions, elevate trade and economic cooperation to a new level, and expand opportunities for implementing joint projects. It brought together representatives of business circles from both countries, major entrepreneurs, and officials from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry as well as relevant organizations.
Speaking at the forum, the regional governor Khayrullo Bozorov once again expressed gratitude to the members of the delegation led by Ivan Krupko, Chairman of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee, who are on a working visit to the region.
It was noted that the meeting is taking place in the spirit of the steadily strengthening strategic partnership between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Belarus. Thanks to active high-level political dialogue, bilateral relations are demonstrating stable growth, while interregional cooperation is becoming an important driver of this process. The significant contribution of Ivan Krupko to the development of bilateral relations was particularly emphasized.
According to the results of 2025, the volume of trade turnover between the Fergana region and the regions of Belarus amounted to $42 million. It was also highlighted that a number of investment projects with the participation of Belarusian capital are being successfully implemented, and currently 12 joint ventures are operating in the region, clearly demonstrating a high level of trust and practical cooperation between the business communities.
It was emphasized that the ongoing “Fergana – Gomel” Business Forum, the signing of the Roadmap for 2026–2027, as well as the cooperation agreement between the regional Chambers of Commerce and Industry, are important tools for strengthening direct contacts between business circles.
These mechanisms create a solid foundation for developing new cooperation projects, expanding mutual trade, and intensifying investment collaboration. Confidence was expressed that the outcomes of the forum, the agreements reached, and the signed documents will serve as a strong basis for further expanding cooperation.
Ivan Krupko, Chairman of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee, also addressed the forum, noting that relations between the two countries are consistently developing at the level of a strategic partnership, and that close cooperation ties continue to expand.
He emphasized the important role of established relations with the Fergana region in this process.
As part of the forum, video presentations were shown highlighting the industrial potential, investment attractiveness, tourism opportunities, and priority sectors of the economies of the two regions.
Deputy Governor Nuriddin Mamajonov delivered a presentation on the investment and export potential of the region. In addition, heads of major companies from the Gomel region also gave presentations. At the conclusion of the event, B2B meetings were held among participants, resulting in agreements on the implementation of specific investment and cooperation projects.
