Navruz Celebrations in Fergana Held in a Spirit of National Traditions and Unity

A grand regional celebration took place at the amphitheater located in the Eco City “New Uzbekistan” residential area of Fergana under the slogan: “Honoring Navruz Means Honoring Humanity.”
The event brought together representatives of the public from cities and districts, national cultural centers, various enterprises and organizations, institutions, and mahalla communities. It was attended by dedicated individuals contributing to the country’s development, labor veterans, talented youth, members of the wider public, and international guests.
At the beginning of the celebration, guests were presented with festive decorations reflecting the unique identity of the region, exhibitions of traditional handicrafts, and displays of spring cuisine. Traditional performances, folk games, athletic demonstrations, and live theatrical shows added a distinctive spirit to the event.
During the ceremony, the Governor of Fergana region, Khayrullo Bozorov, warmly congratulated participants on the occasion of Ramadan Eid and Navruz. He emphasized that human dignity and interests remain a top priority within the ongoing reforms in the country. He also highlighted the significance of the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan and the Imam Bukhari Complex as important milestones in the nation’s spiritual life.
The event also outlined key priorities for the region’s socio-economic development in 2026. In particular, plans were announced to attract $4.2 billion in foreign investment and increase export volumes to $2 billion.
Furthermore, in connection with the declaration of 2026 as the “Year of Mahalla Development and Social Advancement,” it was noted that improving the mahalla system and creating a prosperous and comfortable living environment for the population remain among the key priorities. On the occasion of Mahalla System Workers’ Day, mahalla chairpersons, community activists, and members of the “Yettlik” were recognized and congratulated on their professional holiday.
At the event, Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in Batken region, Abdirashit Tashbaltaev, also delivered remarks, extending sincere Navruz greetings to the people of Uzbekistan, including the residents of Fergana.
The celebrations were further enriched by theatrical concert programs featuring regional artistic groups, young performers, and renowned artists of Uzbekistan. Performances by People’s Artist of Uzbekistan Gulsanam Mamazoitova, People’s Hafiz Ilhom Ibragimov, Honored Artists Alisher Fayz and Abdulhay Karimov, as well as popular singers Qilichbek Madaliyev and Jurabek Qodirov, created a festive and memorable atmosphere.
Navruz festivities continue across all areas of the region, once again demonstrating the unity, solidarity, and spirit of renewal among the people.
