Fergana regional administration

The meeting was attended by the Governor of Fergana region Khayrullo Bozorov, Minister of Sports Adham Ikramov, officials responsible for the sports sector in the region, athletes, and heads of relevant organizations.

At the beginning of the event, Fergana athletes who achieved high results in international arenas over the past year were duly awarded. Athletes who contributed to enhancing the international reputation of Uzbekistan and Fergana were presented with cash prizes and commemorative gifts.

In addition, Minister of Sports Adham Ikramov ceremonially presented Governor Khayrullo Bozorov with the “Excellence in Physical Culture and Sports” badge.

Following this, the meeting continued with a comprehensive analysis of the work carried out in the region’s sports sector in 2025, and priority directions aimed at further developing the sector were identified.

Special attention was given to increasing public participation in sports, particularly among young people, promoting a healthy lifestyle, and strengthening the mass sports movement.

Specific instructions were also issued to organize major sports competitions such as the “Five Initiatives Olympiad,” “New Uzbekistan Olympic Peaks,” and the “President’s Olympiad” at a high level, expand their coverage, and improve the system for selecting talented youth.

The meeting also discussed issues related to digitalizing the sports sector, establishing a unified database, and further improving the monitoring system for athletes and coaches. In this regard, the widespread introduction of modern information technologies was identified as an important task.

At the conclusion of the meeting, relevant officials were given necessary instructions to ensure effective implementation of the assigned tasks, develop sports infrastructure in the region, and take the mass sports movement to a new stage.
