Respect for the Legacy of a Great Thinker: The 585th Anniversary of Alisher Navoi Widely Celebrated

Early this morning, a solemn commemorative ceremony was held at the Alisher Navoi Alley in the city of Fergana. The event was attended by representatives of state and public organizations, literary scholars, intellectuals, students and young people, as well as admirers of poetry.
Speaking at the ceremony, the regional governor Khayrullo Bozorov congratulated the participants on the 585th anniversary of the birth of the great thinker and statesman Hazrat Alisher Navoi. It was emphasized that the ideas of humanism, justice, enlightenment, and kindness promoted by Navoi are in harmony with the essence and goals of the reforms being carried out in our country today.
It was also noted that through his works, Navoi demonstrated the power of the Turkic language, honored knowledge, and exalted human dignity.
It was stressed that for the great scholar, the Motherland was a sacred concept, justice was the measure of life, and enlightenment was the path to salvation. His rich heritage was described not only as a literary treasure but also as a spiritual guide and a school of moral upbringing.
Scholars and writers who participated in the gathering spoke about Navoi’s scientific and literary legacy, his incomparable place in world literature, and the profound spiritual significance of his masterpiece “Khamsa.” Poet Erkin Bozorov and Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor Zebo Qobulova shared their views on the distinctive features of Navoi’s творчество and its importance in educating the younger generation.
As part of the event, cultural performances, poetic compositions, and stage presentations were showcased. At the conclusion, participants laid wreaths at the foot of the monument to the great poet, paying tribute to his bright memory.
