In particular, in connection with this date, an early-morning ceremonial wreath-laying took place at the “Grieving Mother” monument in the “Vatanparvarlar Park” in the city of Fergana. The event was attended by representatives of state and public organizations, military personnel, members of the mass media, and the general public.
At the beginning of the ceremony, servicemen of the Eastern Military District, the internal affairs bodies, the National Guard, and the Emergency Situations Department lined up in formation. To the sound of a military orchestra, the regional governor and head of the military-administrative sector, Khayrullo Bozorov, representatives of the command of the Eastern Military District, heads of regional law enforcement agencies, as well as representatives of state and public organizations, elders, and youth organizations laid wreaths at the foot of the monument.
During the ceremony, profound respect was paid to the memory of the heroic sons who sacrificed their lives for the peace of our homeland and the inviolability of its borders.
At present, festive events are continuing in a high-spirited atmosphere across all cities and districts of the region, as well as in military units and educational institutions.
