Fergana and Russia’s Omsk Region Deepen Cooperation

Governor Bozorov thanked the delegation for the visit, noting that the strategic partnership and alliance between Uzbekistan and Russia are advancing to a new stage. He emphasized the growing momentum of interregional ties, highlighting Fergana’s productive collaboration with Russian partners in textiles, energy and petrochemicals, furniture manufacturing, services, and urban development.
More than 165 joint ventures with Russian investors are operating successfully in Fergana Region, providing a solid platform for major projects and deeper industrial cooperation. Bozorov added that mutually advantageous collaboration with Omsk Region is already underway, with a number of joint initiatives being steadily implemented.
Governor Vitaly Khotsenko underscored the rapid growth of economic and industrial relations between the two countries and expressed confidence that cooperation with Fergana would continue to strengthen. He noted strong demand in Russia for fruits and agricultural products grown in Uzbekistan, adding that the fruit-processing and logistics center being established in Kuva will create new opportunities.
The parties agreed to broaden cooperation and move forward with joint programs and projects.
