Regional Governor Khayrullo Bozorov underlined that the Uzbekistan–China strategic partnership is steadily advancing on the principles of mutual trust, friendship, and mutually beneficial cooperation, driven by the firm political will of both countries’ leaders. China remains one of Uzbekistan’s leading trade-economic partners and top investors, which is energizing inter-regional ties.
The projects — the Eurasia International Trade Center, a DoubleTree by Hilton hotel, and the Foshan Manufacturing Industrial Park — will elevate Fergana’s industrial capacity, logistics capabilities, and tourism infrastructure. They are a practical outcome of dialogue and agreements reached with Chinese partners.
It was noted that 273 enterprises with Chinese investment already operate in the region, and around 100 additional joint initiatives are in the pipeline. Hengtai LLC has been established and registered. Under the plan, a 40-hectare advanced industrial zone will be developed in Fergana city; a five-star hotel will be built in Margilan within the Burhaniddin Marg‘inoniy Scientific Tourism Center; and a 32-hectare trade and logistics center will rise in Fergana district. The projects are expected to create over 10,000 new jobs.
Governor Bozorov expressed confidence that these initiatives will play a vital role in the regional economy and be implemented efficiently on a win-win basis, thanking the Chinese partners for their trust and cooperation. Speaking at the event, Chen Mingbo, founder of Hengtai, Ji Xiaodong, Chairman of the China Tourism Chamber, Liu Jingmin, Vice President of the Uzbekistan–China Enterprises Chamber of Commerce, and Alexey Shatalov of Hilton Worldwide emphasized Uzbekistan’s favorable investment climate and the ongoing expansion of bilateral cooperation. They also highlighted Uzbekistan’s strategic position on the Silk Road and Fergana’s potential as a key Eurasian logistics hub.
A memorandum of cooperation was signed between Hengtai and Hilton Worldwide, followed by the foundation-stone laying to commence construction. Community elders offered prayers and well-wishes for peace and prosperity and for the success of the projects.
