The meeting focused on hearing their new prospective projects, proposals, and the challenges encountered in day-to-day operations.

The regional leader stressed that supporting and developing entrepreneurship is among the country’s top priorities. It was announced that a Kokand Technopark is being established and that the free economic zone offers broad opportunities for entrepreneurs to participate with new projects.

Over 30 entrepreneurs from Kokand city and from Uchko‘prik and Uzbekistan districts presented their initiatives in construction, knitwear, medical products, confectionery, metal products, and other areas, outlining implementation issues and proposals to scale up operations, increase exports, and create jobs.

Entrepreneurs were briefed on measures to support each promising project and options for locating them within the Kokand Technopark. Relevant bodies were tasked to study the projects and prepare concrete recommendations.

Additionally, a special headquarters will be set up in Kokand to review entrepreneurs’ proposals and issues every Saturday; the Entrepreneurs’ Council will be made fully effective, and practical assistance will be provided. It was emphasized that responsible officials must take the necessary measures to resolve each entrepreneur’s issues.
