Fergana Region Governor Khayrullo Bozorov visited the Istanbul Industrial and Trade Free Zone and held a meeting with the leadership of the DESBAŞ management office.

During the meeting, the Governor expressed gratitude for the warm reception and noted that the number of industrial zones is growing across Uzbekistan, including in Fergana Region. He emphasized the importance of studying Turkey’s experience and voiced confidence in building cooperation in this area.
A presentation on the free zone was delivered. It was highlighted that the Istanbul Industrial and Trade Free Zone is among Turkey’s leading free zones, with 31 years of experience and a cumulative trade volume of USD 100 billion. The zone currently hosts 300+ companies employing over 6,000 people.
Companies in the zone operate mainly in solar energy, automotive parts, marine equipment, machinery and machine tools, electrical and electronics, chemicals, textiles, and cosmetics.
Investors are offered fully serviced plots, buildings, enclosed production areas, public and private warehouses, offices, and open storage areas. All infrastructure and management services are provided.
State institutions operating solely for zone users include the Directorate of the Istanbul Industrial and Trade Free Zone under the Ministry of Trade of Turkey and the Customs Directorate of the Istanbul Leather Free Zone.
Following the presentation, the delegation reviewed the operations of Dyesyn Boya Kimya, a producer of chemicals for the textile sector. The company was established in 2022, with USD 20 million invested. Its 2024 turnover reached USD 10 million, with plans to increase to USD 15 million this year. A dedicated R&D center distinguishes the company from its peers. Annual capacity: 17,000 tons of cleaning agents.
Company head İbrahim Demir gave a presentation and outlined new projects, noting plans to launch manufacturing in Uzbekistan as well.
The team also toured Gassero, a company specialized in heating boiler production.
