In order to implement the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PF-6084 dated October 20, 2020, “On Measures for the Further Development of the Uzbek Language and Improvement of Language Policy in the Country,” the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan adopted Resolution No. 61 on February 10, 2021, “On Measures for the Gradual and Complete Transition to the Uzbek Alphabet Based on Latin Script”.
This resolution strictly sets the final deadline for conducting official paperwork in Cyrillic script as January 1, 2023.
The "Roadmap" developed on the basis of this resolution outlines 21 measures to be implemented during 2021–2023. Among them is the mandatory use of the Latin alphabet for the circulation, preparation, and publication of official documents in all organizations, regardless of their legal form. It is also stated that business papers and official forms must be prepared using the Latin script.
To ensure the fulfillment of these requirements, a number of measures are being implemented at our institution. Currently, the majority of documentation is conducted in the Latin script. The formatting of official letters issued by the Center in the Latin alphabet, with full adherence to spelling rules, is under constant monitoring.
In addition, in accordance with state language requirements, large-scale promotional efforts are being undertaken to regulate the use of slogans and advertisements of social, political, and moral-educational importance in the Latin script on the exterior and interior of the institution’s building.
Furthermore, based on Agreement No. 68/2025 signed on April 17, 2025, with the Center for Training and Professional Development in Official Documentation in the State Language under the Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature, special training courses for the staff of the Center are planned.
