Gender equality

In Uzbekistan, women are actively involved not only in public life but also in such responsible fields as environmental expertise. In this area, the State Center for Environmental Expertise has achieved significant results. Adhering to the principles of gender equality, the Center is consistently expanding opportunities for women's professional development, creating favorable conditions, and fostering their potential.
Legal Framework and Initiatives
In accordance with the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Guarantees of Equal Rights and Opportunities for Women and Men” and the order of the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change, an Advisory Commission on Women's Issues has begun its work under the Center.
