The Trade Union of the Center

The consistent development of the New Uzbekistan and the growing well-being of our hardworking people would not be possible without the active role of the trade union system. In recent years, there are virtually no areas where these non-governmental and non-profit organizations are not active. This demonstrates the growing authority of trade unions and the increasing number of their members.
According to the Law adopted on November 23, 2020, starting from 2021, November 11 is officially celebrated as "Uzbekistan Trade Unions Day". On this occasion, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev addressed a congratulatory message to trade union members, highly appreciating their work and identifying key priorities for the future.
The Trade Union Committee of the State Center for Environmental Expertise operates in alignment with these national goals. In particular, it focuses on implementing the decisions of the Congress of the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan and the objectives outlined in the Strategic Directions for 2021–2025. One of the key priorities is the protection of civil rights and freedoms, labor rights of employees, and ensuring legal guarantees for trade union activities.
The Trade Union Committee of the State Center for Environmental Expertise aims to safeguard the socio-economic rights and interests of the staff, ensure full employment, and provide safe and healthy working conditions. It also exercises public oversight over compliance with labor legislation, promotes the well-being of employees and their families, and organizes cultural, educational, and sports events.
To date, cooperation between the employer and the trade union within the Center has reached a high level, which significantly contributes to the effective protection of employees’ interests.
The Trade Union Committee pays special attention to the protection of socio-economic rights, employment assurance, the creation of safe working conditions, and the public oversight of labor legislation compliance. Additionally, it actively supports wellness initiatives for staff and their families, as well as organizes various cultural, educational, and recreational activities.
Within the framework of the collective agreement between the employer and the trade union, several benefits have been introduced, including additional vacation days based on years of continuous service, partial compensation for food and transportation expenses, as well as bonuses and incentive payments.
On the initiative of the Trade Union Committee, an excursion was organized on May 9–10 of this year for employees who excelled in their work. They visited the ancient and ever-young city of Samarkand and explored its unique historical monuments such as the Shah-i-Zinda Ensemble, Gur-Emir Mausoleum, Registan Square, the Khoja Ahrar Vali Complex, and other architectural landmarks.
In addition, trips to cinemas, concerts, museums, and other cultural institutions were arranged for employees and their children. They were also provided with vouchers to summer health camps such as “Semurg”, “Chatkal”, “Ugam”, and “Pearl of the Valley”, enabling children to enjoy a meaningful and pleasant summer vacation.
The Center also has a library for employees, and within the framework of the “Spiritual Hour” project, lectures and roundtable discussions are held to enhance their moral, ethical, and political awareness.
In short, the Trade Union of the Center carries out ongoing efforts to ensure decent working conditions, organize meaningful leisure activities, support family-oriented recreation, and provide both moral and material support to the team.
