Established on the initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the memorial complex serves to preserve the memory and perpetuate the names of military personnel and law enforcement officers who sacrificed their lives during the years of independence in defense of the Motherland and in the service of peace, stability, and public security.
The memorial site holds particular importance as a place of remembrance and patriotic education. It contributes to preserving the legacy of national heroes and fostering among younger generations a deep appreciation for courage, selflessness, patriotism, and devotion to duty.
Viewed from above, the architectural composition of the complex evokes the crescent moon and twelve stars featured on the State Flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The nearly two-meter-high stars also serve as memorial plaques, bearing the names of 196 heroes inscribed in golden lettering.
During the visit, the participants first viewed memorial compositions dedicated to the memory of their compatriots who demonstrated exceptional courage during the Second World War and sacrificed their lives for the peace and well-being of future generations.
The staff of the Center subsequently familiarized themselves with the monuments and historical sites situated along the memorial alley. The visit provided an opportunity to reflect on the profound significance of preserving historical memory and passing on the values of courage, patriotism, national unity, and service to the Motherland.
As a tribute to the fallen heroes, the leadership and staff of the Center for State Environmental Expertise laid a wreath at the “Millat Fidoyilari” memorial.
The visit served as a meaningful expression of respect for those who made the ultimate sacrifice for the peace and security of the country and as a reminder of the responsibility of present and future generations to safeguard the values of independence and peace.
