Dear compatriots, esteemed employees of the veterinary and livestock sector!
I sincerely congratulate all of you on one of our national holidays – the Day of the Uzbek Language, marking the 36th anniversary of granting the Uzbek language the status of a state language.
Today’s celebration is a symbol of our people’s national independence, the realization of our ancestors’ dreams, and the triumph of unity among the various nations and ethnicities living in our country.
In recent years, attention to the Uzbek language has reached the level of state policy, and many practical measures have been taken to enhance the prestige of our mother tongue. Like other state languages around the world, the Uzbek language has its own rightful place and status in the international community.
The fact that our language has been spoken at the 75th–80th sessions of the United Nations General Assembly once again proves that our country stands among the developed nations. It is a matter of great pride that Uzbek is spoken by more than 50 million people, ranking 27th among the world’s most widely spoken languages, and is considered one of the six stable Turkic languages.
In our country, all official correspondence is carried out in the state language, and new terms in various fields are being adapted into Uzbek equivalents.
Preserving the purity of our mother tongue, creating literary and scientific works in Uzbek, and ensuring its recognition as a language of international communication is the sacred duty of every true patriot.
Indeed, the mother tongue is the soul of the nation. The language is a symbol and heritage of the state. To preserve, enrich, and develop it means to achieve national progress.
In building a New Uzbekistan, attention to the mother tongue must begin with each and every one of us.
Dear colleagues, once again I congratulate you on this holiday and wish you good health, well-being, and prosperity.
May our native language live forever!
