Andijan: growth trends in livestock farming

In the Andijan region, 919 projects worth a total of 3 trillion soums were implemented between 2019 and 2024.
International financial institutions allocated a total of $23.6 million to 65 projects in the livestock sector and its branches.
The number of livestock enterprises increased from 1,097 to 1,256. This includes 558 new projects in cattle breeding and 93 in poultry farming.
In all categories of farms, 128,500 cows and heifers were artificially inseminated in 2019. By 2024, this figure reached 238,100.
The number of entities with breeding status reached 164.
Since 2019, a total of nearly 9,000 pedigree cattle have been delivered to the population and farms by these 164 breeding farms operating in the region.
A Working Group of the Committee has identified new directions for the development of livestock and its related sectors in the region.
