Bilateral cooperation between Uzbekistan and Paraguay has been established in the areas of veterinary medicine and livestock.

A delegation led by the First Deputy Chairman of the Committee for the Development of Veterinary Medicine and Livestock, Shukhrat Jabbarov, paid a working visit to Paraguay.
The visit was aimed at establishing cooperation between the two countries in the fields of veterinary medicine and livestock development, expanding bilateral trade, and exchanging expertise.
During the visit, negotiations were held with the leadership of the authorized veterinary authority of the Republic of Paraguay — the National Service for Animal Health and Quality (SENACSA). The parties discussed issues related to veterinary supervision, ensuring epizootic stability, cooperation in the export and import of livestock products, as well as the development and approval of veterinary certificates in compliance with international standards.
Following the negotiations, agreements were reached to further develop bilateral cooperation, and relevant documents were signed. The sides also agreed to establish information exchange and enhance cooperation in professional experience sharing among specialists.
In addition, the delegation visited the central veterinary laboratory under SENACSA, where they became acquainted with diagnostic capabilities, early disease detection systems, laboratory quality management systems, participation in proficiency testing, and operational procedures in accordance with international accreditation requirements.
The Committee’s delegation also visited a modern meat-processing facility in Paraguay, where they reviewed production processes, state veterinary supervision practices, food safety systems, and export-oriented product preparation procedures.
This visit marked an important step toward strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation between Uzbekistan and Paraguay in veterinary medicine and livestock development, expanding international trade opportunities, and introducing advanced practices in the sector.
