A delegation led by Abror Akbarov, Deputy Chairman of the Committee, paid a visit to the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
During the visit, meetings were held with Mohammad Wali Waziri, Adviser to the Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock of Afghanistan, and Zakirullah Zakir, Director General of the General Directorate of Livestock and Animal Health.
During the meetings, issues of expanding mutual cooperation—particularly increasing export–import indicators, and collaboration in the livestock and breeding sectors—were discussed, and a number of agreements were reached.
In particular, veterinary certificates for the export and import of three types of products were mutually agreed upon and signed.
In addition, it was agreed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the fields of livestock and breeding, as well as to organize special training courses, seminars, and workshops in Uzbekistan for Afghan specialists in order to train technical inseminators in artificial insemination of cattle.
