The Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan

The event was organized to showcase to the broader public the ancient art of carpet weaving, which has a history spanning thousands of years, the cultural significance of national patterns and ornaments, and their harmonious integration with modern design. Alongside Uzbek artisans, masters and designers from Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, and Iran also presented their works.

As part of the festival, various schools, styles, and unique traditions of carpet weaving were demonstrated. An exhibition of carpets distinctive to different regions was held, featuring handmade carpets dyed with natural pigments. The program also included cultural performances, folk songs and dances, a conference titled “The Carpet – Our History and Present”, and a fair showcasing national souvenirs and traditional handicrafts.
