The Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan

The first event — the grand opening of the roadshow — was held on October 13 this year in the German city of Frankfurt. During the event, leading travel companies from Germany got acquainted with the tourism potential of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, and also discussed issues of bilateral cooperation.

The main goal of this initiative is to combine the tourism resources of both countries and promote them as an attractive destination for the Central European market. The project plans to highlight the historic centers of the Silk Road, such as Khiva, Bukhara, Samarkand, Baku, Shamakhi, and Sheki, presenting them as a single cultural-historical route.

The delegation included representatives from the Tourism Committee, the National PR Center, as well as Uzbekistan Airways and companies working in the tourism sector of Uzbekistan.

The event concluded with a national folklore program reflecting the rich culture and traditions of both countries. National dances and traditional musical performances left a deep impression on the audience.

The “Highlights of the Silk Road” project will also be presented in other cities of Central Europe.
