“Zakovat-25” Focused on Environmental Protection and Tourism

The event was organized to mark the 25th anniversary of the “Zakovat” intellectual game with the support of the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change, the Tourism Committee, the Tashkent Regional Khokimiyat, Khokimiyat (Administration) of the Bostanlyk district, the NGO "Zakovat Intellektual Klubi" and the "Green Hills Resort" complex. Teams from 14 regions of Uzbekistan competed in various formats, including Zakovat, Brain Ring, Intellectual Auction and Individual Game. Guests of the event also had the opportunity to challenge professional "Zakovat" players in chess matches.
The main focus of the tournament was on environmental protection and tourism development. Participants answered questions on atmospheric pollution prevention, ozone layer protection, biodiversity conservation, sustainable use of natural resources and the promotion of domestic and international tourism, as well as topics related to literature, history, art and other areas.
Following all rounds of the competition, the Tashkent team took first place, winning a cash prize of 300 million sums. The Fergana region team came in second with a prize of 200 million sums, while Jizzakh region placed third, receiving 100 million sums. The winners were also awarded diplomas.
In addition, a separate Intellectual Auction was held for guests and journalists. Those who correctly answered thematic questions received books and commemorative gifts.
