In recent years, the tourism industry in the Zaamin district has been developing rapidly. Currently, the district has 146 accommodation facilities with a total capacity of 3,103 beds. During the first months of 2025, two new hotels with 267 beds have begun operations.
In the “Zaamin” tourist and recreational zone, at the international year-round resort “Suffa Plateau 2400,” three modern hotels with 720 beds have been launched under the global “WYNDHAM” brand. A five-story parking facility for 400 cars, constructed using metal structures, has also been built and commissioned. On an area of 2 hectares, a wellness center has opened, offering all the necessary conditions for tourists’ leisure. The complex can simultaneously serve up to 500 visitors.
In addition, Zaamin offers unique attractions that have become favorites among tourists: the only suspension bridge in the country, stretching 305 meters long and 150 meters high, as well as a modern cable car system with 36 cabins, 12 towers, and 11 support pillars.
The district is also home to 3 parks of culture and leisure, more than 100 dining establishments, 10 eco-tourism facilities, 2 museums, and 109 cultural heritage sites.
All these opportunities significantly contribute to the growth of domestic tourism and the increase in international visitors. During the first part of 2025, the district welcomed about 89,000 foreign tourists and 571,000 domestic tourists. For 2025, the target has been set at 112,500 international tourists, 778,000 domestic visitors, and the export of tourism services worth \$16.8 million.
To achieve these goals, large-scale initiatives are underway. In particular, by the end of 2025, 18 new accommodation facilities are expected to open, including 1 hotel, 6 family guesthouses, 1 hostel, and 10 glass capsules. Four tourism organizations (tour operators and travel agencies) will also begin operations. Nine tourism projects will be implemented, creating 232 new jobs. In the Zaamin tourist and recreational zone, medical tourism services will be developed, alongside attracting both foreign and local investors.
