As noted during the official ceremony held at the Tourism Committee, over the course of 8 days, more than 70 participants in 30 off-road vehicles will visit Nukus, Muynak, the Aral Sea region, as well as the Bukhara, Khiva, and Navoi regions. They will explore the region’s tourist attractions, environmental challenges, and the lifestyle of the local population.
During the trip, participants will learn about the dried seabed of the Aral Sea, the historic ship graveyard in Muynak, and the consequences of the environmental disaster. In addition, they will be introduced to ongoing ecological restoration projects in the region and the measures being taken to develop a green economy.
This road tour project represents an important step in the development of ecotourism, cultural and historical tourism, and extreme tourism in the Aral Sea region. Participants of the international “Visit to the Aral” road tour will have the opportunity to visit the Museum of the Aral Tragedy in Muynak, the Igor Savitsky Museum of Art in Nukus, and explore the tourism potential of the cities of Bukhara, Navoi, and Khiva.
Another important aspect of the project is the strengthening of international cooperation through tourism and the formation of a positive image of the Aral Sea region in the global community. Throughout the journey, participants will share their impressions and recommendations with the wider public through mass media and social networks, playing an important role in highlighting the tourism potential of this unique region.
