The creative team carried out filming for the television program Food Travel, which will be broadcast on the popular Singaporean Suria TV channel. The show consists of 8 episodes dedicated to the cultural heritage, tourism infrastructure, and gastronomic potential of the Khiva and Samarkand regions.
During their visit, the team explored ancient Khiva, including its heart — the historical complex Ichan-Kala — as well as the modern tourist center Arda Khiva. They also attended the Melon Festival 2025, where they sampled various melon varieties, enjoyed national melodies and songs, and experienced the sincere hospitality of the Uzbek people.
In the Samarkand region, the guests visited historical landmarks such as Registan Square, the Shakhi-Zinda complex, and the Gur-Emir mausoleum, while also getting acquainted with the region’s modern tourism infrastructure.
Members of the creative team noted that the rich cultural heritage and unique architectural beauty of Samarkand deeply inspired them. They announced plans to actively promote Uzbekistan’s tourism potential internationally by showcasing the photos and video footage captured during their trip.
This media project is expected to highlight Uzbekistan’s tourism appeal and culinary richness in Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia, contributing to an increase in tourist inflows from the Asia-Pacific region to the Republic.
