According to the travel schedule within the frameworks of the “Inclusive Barrier-Free Tourism” and “Inclusive Journey” programs, it was planned to organize trips for a total of 5,625 socially vulnerable individuals across the republic from January to June. However, during this period, 8,337 trips were actually made by socially vulnerable individuals.
Training is also being provided to tourism sector workers to deliver seamless and accessible services. Tour guides, hotel staff, and transportation personnel are being trained in the principles of an inclusive approach. This helps align the country’s tourism sector with modern standards, social responsibility, and global requirements.
At the state policy level, measures for the development of barrier-free tourism have also been defined. In particular, practical projects are being implemented to create special conditions at historical monuments and museums. Progress in this area allow Uzbekistan to become one of the leading countries in the field of inclusive tourism.
