The Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan

The two sides discussed prospects for strengthening cooperation in the tourism sector and exchanged views on promoting bilateral tourism and increasing mutual tourist flows. Special attention was given to the development of cultural, historical, and pilgrimage tourism, considering the rich heritage of both countries.

Oman’s Minister of Tourism praised Uzbekistan’s efforts to develop its tourism infrastructure and expressed interest in organizing joint tourism routes. He also highlighted Uzbekistan’s potential as an important destination along the Silk Road.

The meeting also focused on enhancing collaboration between relevant government bodies, organizing joint forums and tourism fairs, and establishing direct connections between tour operators of both countries.

The talks were held in a constructive and friendly atmosphere, marking an important step toward strengthening Uzbek–Omani tourism partnership.
