International Dialogue of the World Tourism Alliance “Silk Road Tourism” takes place in Samarkand

The forum is organized by the Tourism Committee and the World Tourism Alliance (WTA), with the support of the Ministry of Ecology and Climate Change of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China.
The event is attended by UN Tourism Secretary-General Zurab Pololikashvili, Chairman of the Tourism Committee Umid Shadiev, WTA Chairman Zhang Xu, and around 250 guests, including government officials from China, Uzbekistan, and other countries and regions, representatives of international tourism organizations, WTA members, industry experts, and media representatives.
Held under the slogan “Building a Better Future through Silk Road Dialogue,” the event’s program includes plenary sessions, roundtable discussions, B2B meetings, presentations, and thematic sessions aimed at fostering new partnerships and enhancing tourism cooperation among participating countries.
The event contributes to strengthening Uzbekistan’s image as one of Central Asia’s leading tourist destinations and opens new opportunities for the development of international tourism, expansion of cultural exchange, and mutually beneficial regional cooperation.
