The Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan

In Uzbekistan, the year 2025 has been declared the Year of Environmental Protection and the “Green Economy.” In this context, tourism has become one of the key sectors actively adopting eco-friendly practices. The State Committee for Tourism, in cooperation with hotels and tour operators, is implementing initiatives such as eliminating plastic cups and packaging, using reusable and biodegradable alternatives, and switching to eco-friendly cleaning products.

Many hotels have already introduced dispensers instead of single-use packaging, paper cups, bamboo toothbrushes, and fabric bags. This not only ensures a comfortable stay but also promotes conscious travel. The Committee also conducts training events and helps partners connect with suppliers of sustainable products.

The shift to sustainable solutions is shaping a new service standard — one that is eco-conscious, modern, and future-oriented.
