International Hot Air Balloon Festival Held in Samarkand

With the aim of promoting extreme tourism in Uzbekistan and increasing the number of both foreign and local tourists, an International Hot Air Balloon Festival was organized in the Urgut District of the Samarkand Region.
The Hot Air Balloon Festival was another important step towards developing tourism in the region and strengthening the region’s position as an attractive tourist destination.
During the two-day festival, 25 colorful balloons took to the skies. The event was attended by more than 100 participants from almost 10 countries.
As part of the festival, a wide variety of activities were held, including a concert and DJ show, a gastronomic festival, performances by national folklore groups, a national costume exhibition, a symphony orchestra performance, horseback riding, a motor drift show, children’s attractions, an art and calligraphy exhibition, traditional games, and exciting competitions.
