Uzbekistan held a tourism roadshow in Macau as part of the “Year of Uzbekistan Tourism in China”

The roadshow served as a vivid presentation of modern tourism in Uzbekistan, bringing together representatives of travel companies, government institutions, business circles, and the media. Participants were introduced to unique tourist routes showcasing Uzbekistan’s rich cultural and historical heritage, along with opportunities in ecological, gastronomic, and business tourism.
Special attention was given to the tourism potential of Tashkent and Khorezm regions, each highlighted through dedicated thematic presentations revealing the distinctive features of these areas.
A key part of the program was the official meeting with Mr. Cheng Wai Tong, Director of the Macao Government Tourism Office. Both sides discussed concrete steps to establish direct links between tour operators, the potential for launching mutual tours, cultural exchanges, and participation in joint exhibitions and forums. The parties emphasized a shared commitment to establishing sustainable cooperation to boost tourist flows between Uzbekistan and Macau.
The evening concluded with a vibrant cultural program featuring Uzbek artists performing traditional songs and dances. The atmosphere of oriental hospitality, colorful folk costumes, live music, and demonstrations of national traditions gave guests a deep dive into Uzbekistan’s unique cultural world, strengthening interest in traveling to the heart of the Great Silk Road.
