Today, June 12, the international tournament "V International Pahlavon Mahmud Strongmen Games" started in the Arda Khiva Tourist Complex in the city of Khiva.
In the first half of the day, the opening ceremony of the competition was held. It was attended by representatives of the Tourism Committee, khokimiyats of the Khorezm region and the city of Khiva, officials of the International Strongmen Federation, athletes, representatives of the media and the general public.
Athletes from almost 20 countries will first test their strength in two disciplines.
At the first stage of this prestigious competition, athletes will compete for the first time in who will be the fastest to load and transport a load of 200 kilograms made of sand on a Kokand cart over a distance of 20 meters.
In general, this tournament will test not only the strength of the strongmen, but also their agility, speed and endurance.
