Road Show events continue in Pakistan

As is known, these days the Tourism Committee with the participation of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, travel companies, business circles working in the field of hotel management and tourism, as well as media representatives in the cities of Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad are organizing Road Show events dedicated to promoting the tourism opportunities of Uzbekistan.
As part of the second day of the Road Show, the event was held in Karachi, the most populous city in the country. It was attended by more than 300 participants, including officials of the Sindh provincial administration, representatives of the local tourism business, as well as officials of the tourism industry and tour operators from Uzbekistan.
At the event, Tariq Mustafa, Advisor to the Governor of Sindh Province, Syed Feyaz Ali Shah, the executive director of the Tourism Development Corporation of Sindh province and Muhammad Naeem Sharif, Chairman Travel Agents Association of Pakistan shared their vision of developing cooperation between the countries in the field of tourism, including the development of new tourist packages in the areas of pilgrimage and halal tourism, the introduction of cross-border routes, as well as the establishment of direct flights to tourist cities, visa issues and exchange of experience in the field of tourism.
Within the framework of the “Road Show”, a presentation “Uzbekistan - the Pearl of the Silk Road” was organized, as well as B2B, G2B and G2G meetings between tour operators of the two countries. A presentation of the national airline “Uzbekistan Airways” was also held.
During the presentations, detailed information was provided on the potential of pilgrimage tourism in Uzbekistan, on the dynamically developing winter and mountain tourism in recent years, as well as on the unique gastronomic opportunities of the country.
An agreement was also reached on the implementation of mutually beneficial projects to increase the number of Pakistani trips to historical pilgrimage sites in Uzbekistan.
