In accordance with the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan № LRU-935 “On introducing amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, the organization and holding of “Umrah” events are defined as a separate licensed activity, and the Committee for Religious Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan is approved as an authorized licensing body in this area.
In this regard, it was established that business entities must carry out their activities according to the new procedure, having received a license from the Committee for Religious Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan to provide services for organizing and holding “Umrah” events.
We remind you that the provision of services for organizing and holding “Umrah” events on the basis of a license for tourism activities is not allowed.
It is also reported that in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia there are many cases when our compatriots find themselves in unfavorable situations, using the services of business entities illegally engaged in the organization and holding of “Umrah” events.
In order to prevent such situations and reliably perform the “Umrah” rituals, it is recommended to use the services of licensed business entities.
The Committee for Religious Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan reports that the register of business entities that have received a license to provide services for organizing and holding “Umrah” events will be constantly updated as open data.
Illegal activities to organize and hold Umrah events without obtaining a license from the Committee for Religious Affairs is grounds for taking appropriate measures provided for by law.
