The aim of the event is to develop international cooperation in the field of tourism, popularize the holiday of Navruz as an element of common history, as well as one of the most significant tourist and cultural brands of Central Asia, capable of serving as a basis for the formation of attractive and authentic tourist products in the region.
Uzbekistan is actively advocating for the formation of a unified tourism space in Central Asia, where travelers can easily visit multiple countries in the region and explore the shared history and diverse cultures.
The forum discussed initiatives from Uzbekistan aimed at increasing the region's tourism appeal and boosting the flow of travelers. Specifically, the formation of the “Golden Tourism Ring of the Fergana Valley” was highlighted, which includes visits to unique natural reserves, mountain ranges, lakes, as well as the landmarks of ancient cities and other locations across Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan.
Additionally, the creation of a joint cultural and tourism route “Navruz in the Heart of Central Asia” was considered, which will unite festive events in the three countries.
These routes will symbolize unity and serve as unique products for the international tourism market, promoting cultural heritage and the development of small and medium-sized businesses in the tourism sector.
It is important to note that Navruz is recognized as a global cultural heritage and was included in UNESCO's Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2009.
During the forum, there were also presentations of routes and products by tourism companies from the participating countries, as well as B2B meetings, which resulted in agreements aimed at further deepening cooperation and attracting tourists.
