Issues of Attracting Tourists from Malaysia and Indonesia Based on the "Umrah Plus" Tourism Program Discussed

The meeting, organized to ensure the implementation of the directives from the head of our state aimed at increasing the flow of tourists from Malaysia and Indonesia under the "pilgrimage tourism" direction in 2025-2026, discussed the development of the "Umrah Plus" tourism program and tour packages with the involvement of travel companies.
Agreements were reached to organize trips on the following routes: Kuala Lumpur-Samarkand-Jeddah-Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta-Samarkand-Jeddah-Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur-Bukhara-Jeddah-Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta-Bukhara-Jeddah-Jakarta.
Additionally, in cooperation with the khokimiyats of Samarkand and Bukhara regions, the Cultural Heritage Agency, Uzbekistan Airports, the Muslim Affairs Directorate, "Uzbekistan Temir Yullari," and the Committee on Religious Affairs, well-founded proposals were developed to implement measures for creating all the necessary conditions for pilgrims at airports, train stations, pilgrimage sites, cultural heritage sites, hotels, and catering facilities along the "Umrah Plus" route.
