An open dialogue was held with representatives of the tourism industry

The event was attended by the Chairman of the Tourism Committee, Umid Shadiev, and responsible staff members of the Committee, deputy hokims of the regions on tourism issues, staff from regional tourism departments, as well as over 700 industry representatives from regional studios, including employees from hotels, guesthouses, tour operators, travel agencies, and transport organizations.
At the same time, responsible representatives from the Transport, Financial and Economic, Tax, and Customs Committees, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as the Hotel Association and the Association of Private Tourism Organizations, participated in the event.
At the meeting, held in the format of an open dialogue, reports were heard on the work carried out in the tourism sector in 2024, achieved results, priority tasks for 2025, and proposals for solving the problems faced by tour operators in attracting foreign tourists to our country and organizing tourist trips.
In particular, the participants noted that in 2024, comprehensive practical work was carried out to ensure the implementation of directives from our President aimed at further developing the tourism sector.
Tourism industry representatives shared their views on the proposals put forward by the Tourism Committee, as well as on solutions to address the existing issues in the sector. Special attention was given by tour operators to issues regarding the competitive environment in domestic and foreign markets, marketing and advertising development, infrastructure improvement, and the enhancement of service quality.
Information was also provided about new tourism projects and the tasks set for 2025. Proposals were discussed regarding the development of international tourism and the improvement of the tourism environment in our country.
Furthermore, the meeting included a session of the Public Council for Tourism Development, during which its members exchanged opinions on effective solutions to tourism issues, strengthening cooperation between the public and private sectors, the implementation of innovative technologies, and education and training in the tourism sector.
At the end of the meeting, opinions were expressed regarding the ongoing work to address issues in the tourism sector, create new opportunities, and promote tourism development, and all participants agreed on further practical steps in this direction.
