Hotel Business Forum-2025 is being held in Tashkent

“As you all know, the tourism sector has reached a completely new level as a result of the progressive reforms of the President of Uzbekistan and the support of our government, - said Aziz Abdukhakimov. - It is gratifying that positive changes are observed in the industry from year to year. It should be noted that about 51 thousand new jobs have been created in the tourism sector and related industries. 124 new hotels and 239 hostels have been opened in the regions, the total number of accommodation facilities amounted to over 6.1 thousand, the number of beds in them exceeded 161 thousand”.
Chairman of the Tourism Committee Umid Shadiev, welcoming the forum participants, noted that this forum is being held for the sixth time, and the scale of its participants is growing year after year, which is a clear confirmation of the importance of this platform for the development of the hotel business in our country. “The agenda and sessions of our forum today are focused on the most pressing issues for our industry, such as digital transformation in the hotel business, green technologies, inclusive and sustainable development. We all know that every area of the tourism industry, including the hotel business, is developing rapidly”, - said Umid Shadiev.
The 2025 forum, organized by the Association of Hoteliers of Uzbekistan with the support of the Tourism Committee, is dedicated to the theme “"Innovation and Sustainability: New Technologies in the Hospitality Industry”. It is attended by experts, representatives of the hotel business, tour operators, marketers, hotel service providers, representatives of global brands from Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Italy, Russia, the Czech Republic, Germany, Switzerland and other countries.
The event is also attended by regional leaders of world-famous international hotel chains IHG, Hilton Worldwide, Radisson Hotel Group, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, Accor Hotel Group.
It is worth noting that a number of sessions were held on the first day of the forum. Experts discussed “Green Technologies for a Sustainable hotel Future”, “Digital Transformation: Technologies Changing the Hotel Business”, “Growth Drivers: Effective Sales Strategies in Hotel Business”, “The Taste of Success. How to create an attractive gastronomic brand”, “Inclusion - as a factor of demand in the hospitality sector”, and other relevant topics.
In addition, the event featured an interactive B2B exhibition offering a full range of products and services for the HoReCa segment, leading hotel service providers. The exhibition featured furniture, interior items, professional textiles, uniforms, security system automation and other areas.
“Hotel Business Forum-2025” will continue on February 26. The second day of the event includes sessions, discussions covering important topics and the IV National Hospitality Award ceremony.
