Following the evaluation of the applications by the jury in accordance with the contest’s requirements and assessment criteria, it was noted that some submissions did not contain complete information. In addition, some of the designs were similar to souvenirs already available on the market, while certain participants submitted finished products created by other authors.
Experts also noted that some sketches and designs created using artificial intelligence would be difficult for artisans to reproduce entirely by hand.
Based on the jury’s conclusions and a unanimous decision, the first stage of the “Uzbek Gift Contest” has been extended until 21 September. The prize amounts for winners in all 25 categories have also been increased, with each winner to receive UZS 12.5 million.
It is also noted that projects submitted to date and meeting the established contest criteria will proceed to the final evaluation stage. During the additional period, participants will have an opportunity to submit new designs and sketches for national souvenirs that comply with the contest requirements.
