Uzbekistan and Kuwait discuss tourism cooperation

At the beginning of the meeting, it was noted that the close and trusting relationship between the leaders of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the State of Kuwait has elevated bilateral cooperation to a qualitatively new level, providing a solid foundation for the consistent expansion of collaboration in the political, trade and economic, investment, and cultural and humanitarian spheres.
The parties discussed further strengthening cooperation in the field of tourism, as well as promoting Uzbekistan's rich historical and cultural heritage and its modern tourism potential in the Kuwaiti market. In particular, an initiative was put forward to organize a familiarization press tour to Uzbekistan for prominent Kuwaiti bloggers, media representatives, and tour operators.
In addition, the parties reviewed the prospects for launching direct air services between Uzbekistan and Kuwait, discussed opportunities for developing mountain and hunting tourism, and explored avenues for exchanging expertise and best practices in these areas.
The Ambassador emphasized the importance of creating even more favorable conditions for Kuwaiti tourists. In particular, he drew attention to the need to eliminate certain inconveniences associated with the registration of mobile devices belonging to foreign nationals staying in Uzbekistan for more than 30 days. He also proposed simplifying the relevant procedure and jointly developing practical recommendations, in cooperation with the competent authorities, to address this issue.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue their joint efforts, together with the relevant government agencies and airlines, to advance the launch of direct flights, enhance practical cooperation in the fields of mountain and hunting tourism, and implement joint initiatives aimed at increasing the flow of tourists between the two countries.
