During the talks, the parties discussed further strengthening bilateral cooperation in tourism, increasing mutual tourist flows, developing new joint tourism products and cross-border travel routes, and creating additional economic opportunities for the regions and tourism businesses of both countries.
Particular attention was given to advancing Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan as key components of a unified tourism space in Central Asia and elevating practical cooperation between the two countries to a new level.
In particular, the parties considered proposals to sign a Joint Action Plan on Tourism Cooperation for 2026–2027 during an upcoming high-level visit, establish a permanent Uzbekistan–Kyrgyzstan Working Group on Tourism, jointly assess the operation of tourist-relevant border crossing points, and develop proposals for introducing a “Tourist Group Fast Track” mechanism to facilitate the movement of organized tour groups.
The sides also agreed to explore the possibility of granting international status to strategically important border crossing points used by tourists from third countries, develop a joint calendar of international tourism marketing events for 2027, and participate together in major international tourism exhibitions.
The meeting also included discussions on implementing joint investment projects with the participation of international financial institutions and development organizations, organizing professional training programs for Kyrgyz tourism specialists at the International Tourism Academy in Samarkand, and holding regular B2B meetings involving tour operators, hotel businesses, and transport companies from both countries.
Following the negotiations, the parties agreed that a delegation from the Kyrgyz Republic would participate in the Tashkent International Tourism Fair (TITF 2026), which will take place in Tashkent from November 25 to 27, 2026.
