Uzbekistan and Malaysia discussed expanding cooperation in the field of tourism

During the talks, special attention was paid to the organization of the “Malaysia Culture Week 2026” exhibition within the framework of the Tashkent International Tourism Fair (TITF). The Uzbek side expressed its readiness to provide the necessary assistance in holding the event, emphasizing that it would become an important platform for strengthening cultural ties and increasing mutual tourist flows. The parties also considered issues related to organizing B2B meetings between representatives of the tourism industries of the two countries, arranging familiarization tours (FAM trips), and developing the “Umrah+” program with the involvement of Malaysian tour operators.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides confirmed their mutual interest in further expanding cooperation and implementing joint initiatives aimed at developing tourism exchanges between the two countries.
