During their stay, the delegates visited Tashkent, the Samarkand and Surkhandarya regions, where they explored the country’s cultural heritage sites, modern tourism infrastructure, natural attractions, and diverse tourism opportunities. An important part of the program included B2B meetings with Uzbek tourism companies, aimed at establishing new business partnerships and discussing prospects for future cooperation.
Such familiarization visits are one of the key tools for promoting Uzbekistan in international tourism markets. They contribute to expanding cooperation with foreign partners and increasing international interest in the country. As a result of these ongoing efforts, the number of Japanese visitors to Uzbekistan in January–May 2026 increased by 63% compared to the same period last year.
