Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia have agreed on measures to boost tourism exchanges for 2026–2027

The parties discussed the expansion of tourist flows between Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia, the development of air connectivity, and the promotion of joint tourism products.
Muhammad Abunayyan noted the positive momentum of reforms in Uzbekistan’s tourism sector, the growing interest from Saudi tourists and businesses, as well as the importance of further developing infrastructure for visitors from the Kingdom.
Separately, opportunities were considered for developing tourism products, including the Umrah Plus concept, as well as summer and winter tourism, eco-routes, camping and hunting tourism, including in Karakalpakstan.
According to Muhammad Abunayyan, in the medium term the flow of tourists from Saudi Arabia to Uzbekistan could increase several times over. He cited Azerbaijan’s experience as an example.
The promotion of Uzbekistan’s tourism potential on international platforms was also discussed, including the possible organization of a national pavilion at Riyadh Boulevard and the country’s participation in EXPO 2030 Riyadh.
Following the meeting, a document titled “Action Plan for the Development of Bilateral Tourist Flows between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for 2026–2027” was signed.
The parties expressed their readiness for further practical work to increase mutual tourist flows.
