As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached to establish a joint working group in July this year to involve Rotana in the management of several hotels in Uzbekistan. The next stage will be the preparation of proposals for implementing joint projects in the hotel and hospitality sector.
As part of her visit to Uzbekistan, Amna Al Nuwais visited Samarkand and Tashkent, where she explored the country’s tourism and investment potential and inspected several hotel facilities. In Samarkand, the Rotana representative visited new hotel properties, including the Imam Bukhari Grand Hotel, Silk Way Hotel, and SAG Hotel, located within the memorial complex of Imam Al-Bukhari, as well as other promising hospitality projects. During the inspection, she assessed infrastructure, service quality, and the potential for further development of these facilities.
In Tashkent, particular interest was shown in ongoing projects within the “New Uzbekistan” Park and the Islamic Civilization Center, which are seen as key growth points for the country’s tourism sector. During her stay in the capital, Amna Al Nuaimi also inspected hotel properties considered potential sites for future cooperation. Following the visit, recommendations were presented to improve infrastructure, operational processes, and service standards, taking into account the company’s international experience.
Rotana is one of the largest hotel management companies in the Middle East and operates more than 100 properties under various brands across the Middle East, Africa, Eastern Europe, and Türkiye. The company’s hotel network includes more than 140 hotels in 17 countries worldwide.
The implementation of these agreements will contribute to attracting international expertise and investment into Uzbekistan’s hotel sector, as well as further improving the country’s tourism infrastructure.
