Uzbekistan Showcases Tourism Potential at Pakistan Travel Mart (PTM) Karachi

The participation marked a significant step toward strengthening tourism collaboration between Uzbekistan and Pakistan, while highlighting Uzbekistan’s rich cultural heritage, historical landmarks, and diverse tourism offerings to a global audience.
PTM Karachi attracted a wide range of stakeholders from the tourism industry, including travel agencies, tour operators, hospitality professionals, and international exhibitors from various parts of the world. The Uzbekistan pavilion received an overwhelming response from visitors, reflecting a growing interest in Uzbekistan as an emerging and attractive destination for Pakistani and international travelers.
During the event, Brand Ambassador Chaudhry Hamid Mahmood held important meetings with H. E. Sardar Ilyas Special Assistant to the Prime Minister of Pakistan on Tourism and Information Technology, and Rana Aftab ur Rehman Rana Chairman Pakistan tourism development cooperation. The discussions focused on enhancing bilateral tourism cooperation, promoting joint initiatives, and strengthening people-to-people connections between the two brotherly nations. Both sides acknowledged the importance of collaborative efforts in increasing tourist flows and developing sustainable tourism partnerships.
The Uzbekistan stand at PTM served as a comprehensive platform to promote various tourism segments, including Ziyarat tourism, cultural tourism, business tourism, and educational tourism. Informational materials, destination presentations, and direct engagement with visitors and industry professionals helped create strong awareness about Uzbekistan’s unique offerings along the historic Silk Road.
The event also provided an excellent opportunity to connect with international tour operators and explore potential partnerships aimed at expanding Uzbekistan’s presence in global tourism markets.
