On April 1, 2026, an industry event was held in Tashkent with the participation of representatives from the tourism and aviation sectors, during which it was announced that the frequency of flights on the Tashkent–Ankara route, operated by the Turkish low-cost airline AJet, would be increased to daily service. The event was attended by representatives of relevant government agencies and industry companies.
The increase in flight frequency is aimed at establishing more stable and convenient air connectivity amid the growing interest of international tourists in Uzbekistan. More frequent flights will enhance flexibility in travel planning, expand transit route options, and improve connectivity with a number of European countries and other regions via Ankara, thereby contributing to the growth of international tourist flows and the development of the country’s tourism infrastructure.
