An international backgammon tournament, Asian Grand Prix 2026, will be held in Tashkent

The tournament will gather top players from various countries, making it a significant event not only for the professional community but also for the development of event tourism in Uzbekistan.
The tournament program includes a wide range of disciplines, including the main competitions in short and long backgammon, blitz formats, masters’ cups, doubles and team events, a women’s tournament, as well as special formats such as super blitz and sprint backgammon.
The organization of the tournament meets international standards. Players born in 2010 or earlier are eligible to participate. Registration is carried out through the International Backgammon Federation.
Hosting the Asian Grand Prix 2026 in Tashkent confirms Uzbekistan’s growing status as a center for international sports and intellectual events, attracting players and tourists from around the world.
