Tashkent to host discussion on current issues related to the development of pilgrimage tourism

On March 31, 2026, the Research Institute for Tourism Development, together with the Tashkent Institute of Management Development of Singapore and the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan, will organize an international scientific and practical conference on the topic: "Ziyarat tourism and the local population: sustainable development and social responsibility in regions surrounding pilgrimages."
The conference will discuss current issues related to the development of pilgrimage tourism, its impact on the socio-economic development of regions, the development of sustainable infrastructure around holy sites, and ensuring a balance between the interests of the local population and the tourism industry.
The event will be attended by domestic and foreign scientists, experts, and specialists in the field of tourism.
