Within the framework of the business program of the MITT 2026 International Tourism Exhibition, a meeting was held between the Deputy Chairman of the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, S. Tadjiyev, and the President of the Russian Travel Industry Union, Ilya Umansky.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that the Russian tourism market remains one of the key markets for Uzbekistan. The parties noted the steady growth of mutual tourist travel. Particular attention was drawn to the increasing interest of citizens of Uzbekistan in traveling to the regions of the Russian Federation, which opens up new opportunities for tour operators in both countries.
The participants of the meeting agreed on the need to expand cooperation between tour operators, including the development of new tourism products and routes, as well as the intensification of B2B meetings.
