The “Danish Travel Show” is the largest tourism event in the Scandinavian (Northern European) region, bringing together representatives of the tourism markets of Northern European countries, leading tour operators, airlines, hotel chains, and companies providing tourism-related services on a single platform. The fair serves as a prestigious international B2B and B2C platform, hosting representatives from more than 60 countries, as well as thousands of industry professionals and travel enthusiasts.
At Uzbekistan’s national stand, the country’s rich historical and cultural heritage, pilgrimage tourism destinations, gastronomic routes, and the potential of eco- and mountain adventure tourism were widely showcased. In particular, presentations were held highlighting the tourism opportunities of the cities of Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva, and Tashkent, as well as new routes and modern infrastructure.
During the fair, B2B meetings were conducted with foreign partners, where discussions focused on increasing tourist flows from Scandinavian countries to Uzbekistan, developing joint tour packages, and expanding marketing cooperation. Detailed information was also provided about Uzbekistan’s status as an open and safe travel destination, including its visa-free regime and simplified visa procedures.
Participation in the “Danish Travel Show” marked an important step toward entering the Northern European market, establishing new partnerships, and promoting Uzbekistan’s tourism brand. This international exhibition contributes to strengthening the country’s position on the European tourism map, diversifying the geography of inbound tourists, and increasing the export potential of the national tourism sector.
