First, the Republican working group reviewed the project for the establishment of the “Sohil Makon” ecotourism complex, located in the Kamolot mahalla of the Syrdarya District. The project provides for the development of a 75-hectare land plot based on a master plan, the creation of active tourism facilities, the provision of wellness services, water recreation areas, and walking routes.

As the next site, the working group visited the “Ravon Arena” recreation area, where it reviewed the completed works. Within the framework of the second stage of the project, measures were identified to introduce additional types of services.

Another stop of the visit was a former holiday resort currently being reconstructed on the banks of the Syrdarya River in the Kamolot mahalla of the Syrdarya District. The project plans include the creation of summer and winter swimming areas, seven apartment hotels for family and group recreation, summer children’s playgrounds, a mini-zoo, various sports facilities, and fishing areas.

The working group also reviewed tourism and service facilities established in the recreation area located in the Orikzor mahalla of the Saykhunabad District. Presentations were delivered on the work carried out to receive tourists and on prospective plans for the development of the facility. To ensure full utilization of the complex during the winter period, recommendations were given on organizing the operation of swimming facilities in winter and introducing additional services.

In addition, the conditions created by local entrepreneurs at the melon market organized along the Tashkent–Samarkand highway were studied.
